Green PolkaDot Box

I want to tell you about an opportunity is only available through the end of this year.

The Green PolkaDot Box is an online buying club for natural and organic foods.  They opened up and began shipping orders for a limited number of customers a bit before Christmas.  When I first heard about them back in September I was very excited about what they had to offer.  On the GAPS diet we don’t eat many packaged foods and even fewer processed foods but I quickly found some of my favorite brands and got excited about the possibilities.

One big thing that they are doing is partnering with American organic farmers to bring their produce to your home within 48 hours of harvest.  You will be able to order it online from farmers in your region of the country and have it delivered to your doorstep.

Also within the next year fresh and frozen foods are going to be added to the company and available for online order.  Things like butter, frozen veggies, grassfed meat and the like.

So far the prices on everything they sell are very good.  Better than I can find anywhere else.  I have looked at the products I will buy from what they already sell and their prices beat Whole Foods, Amazon, UNFI and any other source I have looked into.  They don’t yet sell everything I need but I am hopeful that by the end of 2012 GPDB will replace my monthly UNFI order.  That means instead of spending 1-2 hours a month unloading a truck and bringing stuff home, I will simply get online to order when I am in need and have it delivered to my doorstep.

They have a special opportunity for those willing to assume a little bit of risk and jump in now while the selection isn’t so great.  You can give them $2000 for a Founding Trust Membership.  This will allow you to begin shopping right away (most people are being phases in but the FT members have already started).  It will also give you 2500 points to spend.  These points are like money.  Each point = $1.  If you limit your points use for the first 18 months to 150 or less a month they will add to your points and you will then have a total of 4500 points to spend ($4500).  This means your money is more than doubled for your willingness to put some faith in the company and stand behind it with an investment.  Plus you will earn more points on every purchase you make and every purchase your friends who join through you make (just the first generation).  For most people there is an annual membership fee of either $50 or $125 depending on what kind of membership they want.  FT members never have to pay an annual fee.

We took advantage of this deal and I think that many of my friends would benefit from it as well.  You just have through Saturday so don’t delay!

Let me know if you have any questions.

Many have asked me what I order since the GAPS diet makes it so hard to use processed foods.

My first order included:
Automatic Dish Soap Powder
Organic Whole Bean Colombian coffee
Italian Volcano Lemon Juice
Bac-Out Stain & Odor Eliminator w/Foaming Action Sprayer
Whole Pitted Dates
Refined Coconut Oil (neutral flavor, great for high heat cooking)
Compostable Dog Waste Bags
Tomato Paste (in glass jars)
Strained Tomatoes (in glass jars)
Imported Marinara Sauce (contains cooked olive oil so not strictly GAPS legal but an emergency back up kind of food)
Balsamic Vinegar of Modena (yes this one is GAPS legal!)
Natural Palm Shortening (neutral fat for high heat cooking and baking)
Volcano Lime Burst
Raw Ground Vanilla
Xlear Nasal Spray
Sweet Orange Lip Balm Stick
Stress Soother
Vanilla Bean Lip Balm Stick
Light Grey Celtic Salt in Resealable Bag
various spices

There are other items I could have ordered as well and they are in the process of adding 200 more items over the next week to expand the inventory to 1000 items and this is just the beginning.  As this company grows more and more product will be available.  They have been very open and receptive to suggestions for brands and products to carry.  And they are very committed to avoiding GMO’s in all their product offerings.  That gives me peace of mind.
