Homemade Skin Care for Adults and Kids Plus More!
Today is the last day to get your copy of the Harvest Your Health Bundle. 71 ebooks, 4 meal plans, 3 online magazine subscriptions as well as 22 discount codes on products you will love (25% off squatty potty!!!) This bundle is personal for me because it contains my book Both: Elixir of Life. Over 5,000 people have already purchased it and are already reading the books and using the discount codes. There is so much variety in this bundle at such a low price that nearly everyone reading this blog could find enough books to interest them to make it worth the $37.
If you are specifically looking for a list of the books from this bundle that are good for people on GAPS or LOD read this post. Harvest Your Health eNook Bundle GAPS and LOD Friendly eBooks
If you are interested in books about womens health and fertility as well as books for parents read this post Harvest Your Family’s Health With eBooks!
Blogging costs money and it a lot of work. Part of how I can afford to bring you the information and the deals that I bring to you is because I am an affiliate and make a portion of those sales. I am not an affiliate for everything that I have endorsed on this blog and I care too much about my reputation to endorse anything that I know to be of poor quality or not worth the price. So you can be assured that this bundle of ebooks and any other affiliate links in this bundle, are of the highest quality and while I will not claim to approve of each and every book in this bundle I will say that it is still worth far more than the sale price. I wish that these could be paper books but alas the economics of printing and mailing that many books would not allow for anywhere near this low a price. So they must be read on the computer. You, however are welcome to print them out yourself, send them to your kindle or find some other way to make them more portable than a computer screen. Many of the books are optimized for printing while others are optimized for reading on the computer (Sadly, as I learned when writing my own book, it is nearly impossible to do both).
Today I wanted to tell you about the do it yourself recipes in this bundle. These are the books that tell you how to make your own personal grooming products without preservatives or toxic additives. Your skin absorbs 60% of everything that comes into contact with it so it makes sense for you to be sure that everything that touches your skin is something that you would also feel good eating. I have also included a book about making your own cleaners for your home and a few books about simplifying your life. That is another way to detoxify. It isn’t just about the things you come in contact with but also the what you think and do that impacts your health positively or negatively.
As you know detox is an important topic for me and an important aspect of the GAPS diet. There are two aspects to detox. One of them is getting the toxins in your body to leave. The other aspect is avoiding having more of them come in. While it is impossible to eliminate all toxins it is possible to make a difference in your toxic load and the toxic load of your children. These first books talk about cleaning up your environment.
Common Sense Health $8.95
This book divides healthy practices into 3 groups. Detox, which refers to lowering the toxin load that you come into contact with by filtering air and water and replacing commercial personal care products with home made one. Food, which talks about making good choices about eating a variety of foods as well as focusing on the most nourishing foods and minimizing grains and processed foods. The last section is physical activities and includes some different ways to help your body detoxify itself including oil pulling, dry brushing and grounding.
Detoxification: 70 ways to Cleanse, Clear & Purify your Body, Space & Life. $9.99
This book covers 70 ways to aid your body in detoxifying and healing. None of them go into much depth but this book may spark you to learn more about a therapy it mentions for any health challenges you are now facing or may in the future.
Questions to Ask Your Dentist $29
These are questions that you should ask your dentist if you have amalgam fillings and are considering getting them replaced either because of health challenges or because they are simply failing and needing to be replaced with something. I put it in this section because the primary issue is toxins. Those from mercury amalgam fillings, those from composite fillings and how they are dealt with in the dental office.
These 3 books together cost $47.94 and easily justify the $37 cost of the bundle. If you are interested in detoxifying your life these can really get you started.
Next up are several books with various recipes for heath and beauty products that you can make yourself at home. Many commercial health and beauty products have toxic chemicals in their formulation. Your skin absorbs 60% of the products that you apply to it so you really shouldn’t put anything on your skin that isn’t also safe to put in your mouth. Making your own skin care can be a quick an easy process depending on the recipe and can also make nice gifts for friends and family.
Homemade Health and Beauty $4.99
I loved how quick and easy most of these recipes appeared to be! One thing that usually stops me from making my own products is the time involved. These products really looked simple to make and like they would save my family a lot of money. I especially want to make the liquid soap and the shaving cream.
The Wholistic Mama’s Guide to Homemade Skincare $19
This book has a wide range of personal care products including some skin care items that will especially appeal to women and teenaged girls. It also includes a bug repellent spray formula that looks like a good one to try out.
My Buttered Life Personal Care $5, My Buttered Life Baby $5, My Buttered Life Gift $5, and My buttered Life Summer $5
I’m going to talk about all the books from My Buttered Life together. She focuses on using butters and oils like shea butter, coconut oil, bees wax and other nourishing fats. Many of the products are thicker and in the form of hard lotion bars or thick creams. I’m loving the look of the chocolate mousse body butter in the gift ebook! Each book has 5 recipes in it.
Salve Made Simple $7.95
Jennifer of Hybrid Rasta Mama has certainly created an incredible book here. 30 different salves to make up for a wide variety of issues from bug bites to broken arms. I want to make all of them right now to have them on hand for anything that may come up.
Simple Scrubs to Make and Give $3.99
These sugar and salt scrubs do look very simple to make! I love the idea that you can mix one up in very little time as a last minute gift for a friend. I am planing to try out some of these as soon as I can! I already have all the ingredients I need for many of the formulas in pantry without any special shopping.
Tips and Tricks to Remineralize and Repair Your Teeth $12.95
This is a short book by the author of Cure Tooth Decay that focuses on what you need to do to remineralize teeth that are beginning to show signs of decay. Most Dentists will tell you that once there is a cavity the only solution is to drill and fill but I have several friends who have successfully reversed tooth decay in themselves or their children using the advice from this author. Since my family is on GAPS we are already following many of the ideas in this book and my children have not had any decay to worry about. Going to the dentist is a pleasure for them.
Not only is it important to not use toxic products on your skin but it is important to not use toxic products when cleaning your home. A typical home has much poorer air quality inside the home than the air right outside. This is in part because of the cleaning products that most Americans use in their homes.
Natural Cleaning Guide $15
This book is a comprehensive house cleaning book. It talks about what needs to be cleaned and how to clean it and has a non-toxic recipe for every cleaner that you might need to make that happen. I was really impressed by the breadth of information in this one book.
Are you ready for this? These 10 books covering all different aspects of homemade body care and home care are $83.88. Obviously getting this bundle for only $37 is a much better deal.
Buy Now for $37
The last thing that I want to talk about for detoxifying your life has to do with lowering visual and mental clutter. There are 4 books in this bundle about simplifying your life. I am looking forward to spending some time with these one at a time once this bundle sale is over with and I have some more time for myself. Simplicity sounds ideal but it can be difficult to know where to even start. These books can help you to figure out some ideas for how to get started.
25 Intentional Days $25
This book is for anyone who feels like they are lacking purpose in life. If you are just moving from one thing to the next and don’t really have a goal in mind you just might get to the end of your life and wonder what you did with yourself. This book helps you discover what your dreams are and also make plans for how to realize your dreams and have a more purposeful life. I have found the small amount that I have read in this book to be very thought provoking and I have been thinking deeply about what I truly want in my life. That may be another blog post soon.
Inside Out Simplicity $2.99
I read just a tiny bit of this book and realized that I could not do it justice in the short amount of time that I had to read it so I put it aside till later. This is about simplicity in the inward parts. Simplicity is not just about how you organize your home or your time but it also applies to your relationships. I am looking forward to really giving this book my attention soon.
One Bite at a Time-52 Projects for Making Life Simpler $5
How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. I really like books like this one. It breaks down some ideas for organizing your life and reducing your stuff in simple projects. You can do one a week and have it take a year or do it faster or slower. Some projects are longer than others. I’m going to do my best to do one a week and also do my best to not feel guilty if it takes me 2 years to get through the book. Something about someone else telling me what project to tackle when really helps me not feel overwhelmed by the giant task of simplifying my life. I also like that I can already check off some of the things in this book like starting a garden. It helps me feel ahead of the game.
Simple Living: 30 days to Less Stuff and More Life $2.99
Like the previous book I like having someone tell me what to do to get a project done. In fact I may try this one first. The projects are smaller and I can finish it in a month.
Simplifying our lives is something that my husband and I talk about regularly but we haven’t really fleshed out what it would look like for us. We just say we want less stuff and fewer obligations yet we aren’t good at making that happen. I’m excited about using these books to help move us toward the way we really want to live.
The simplicity books cost $35.98 so $1.02 less than the total cost of this bundle. If these are the only books you want you are better off getting them separately.
I know my blog posts about this bundle have been long. It is because I am just so impressed with many of the books in this bundle. The sale is over today and there are even more books that I did not get to tell you about. Like the collections of inspiring stories of people recovering their health or the fascinating life story of the Hair Shaman.
I hope that if you have any questions about any of these books listed here or other books in the bundle you will ask me about them in the comments. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get a fantastic deal on some great books.
